Online security is no longer a 'technical' subject - today it affects everyone who uses online systems, stores customer data, manages bookings or logs into administration panels. One password is not enough. Therefore, in mobile-calendar we have implemented two-stage verification (2FA)which significantly increases the level of account protection.
Why is online security crucial today?
Daily occurrences:
- password leaks,
- phishing attacks,
- attempts to take over accounts,
- logins from unauthorised devices.
Enough is enough:
- weak password,
- the same password used in several services,
- logging on to public Wi-Fi,
- clicking on a false link.
The result? Loss of account access, breach of visitor data and, in extreme cases, real financial and reputational damage.
What is two-stage verification (2FA)?
Two-step verification is an additional layer of account security.
Once it has been activated login in 2 steps:
- You enter your password
- Provided by one-time verification code
The code is required each time you log ineven if the password is correct.
With this:
- A password alone is not sufficient to log in,
- Access to the account is only possible for an authorised person,
- the risk of your account being taken over drops to almost zero.
Why is a slogan alone not enough?
Passwords:
- are sometimes too simple,
- are saved in browsers,
- leaks from other services,
- are duplicated in many places.
Even the best slogan does not protect in 100%if it ends up in the wrong hands.
Two-step verification eliminates this problem, as it requires more than just knowledge of the password.
How does two-step verification work in mobile-calendar?
When 2FA is included:
- each login attempt requires an additional code,
- The code is one-off and temporary,
- Access without the code is not possible - even with the correct password.
The solution:
✔ does not hinder daily work
✔ does not require specialist knowledge
✔ significantly increases account security
What data is protected by two-step verification?
In the context of booking systems, we are talking about:
- personal data of visitors,
- booking deadlines,
- employee access,
- payment and advance history,
- facility operational data.
This is information that must be adequately protectedespecially when working in teams and accessing from different devices.
For whom is two-step verification particularly important?
- owners of accommodation facilities
- account managers
- people working remotely
- teams logging in from multiple devices
- users using public Wi-Fi networks
If your account contains customer data - 2FA should be the standardand not an option.
Two-step verification - the standard for modern systems
The major online platforms have been using two-step verification as a basic security measure for years. This is today one of the most effective ways to protect your accountwithout the need for complex technical solutions.
Therefore, in mobile-calendar:
- we make safety a priority,
- we implement solutions in line with current standards,
- we give users real data protection tools.
How do I enable two-step verification?
